Obituary of Roberta McConaghy

The passing of Roberta Mae McConaghy of Hawkins Corner, NB, wife of Kenneth McConaghy, occurred on Monday, February 21, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 22, 1951 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lila Mae (Currie) Buckley. She worked at Clark’s Chick Hatchery for over 25 years. Roberta enjoyed BINGO, quilting and socializing with friends. In addition to her husband, Roberta is survived by her son, Brian Holmes of Calgary, AB; step children, Craig, Darren, Sheryl, Tammy and Corrina; sister, Marion Stone (Wayne) of Mactaquac, NB; brother, Edison Buckley (Carol) of Scotch Lake, NB; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Elaine and infant brother, Gordon. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor Trevor McGuire officiating. Interment will take place in Mactaquac Cemetery at a later date.
