Peacefully Mabel Catherine Lint, wife of the late Walter E. Lint passed away on Thursday morning, February 24, 2011 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on May 17, 1927 in Tay Falls, NB, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lavina (Wilkins) Jones. She grew up in Tay Falls and moved to Fredericton where she resided with her husband. A kind tender soul and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mabel was utterly devoted to her family. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed their visits. Affiliated with St. John’s Anglican Church. She loved and served her Lord for many years and enjoyed singing gospel hymns. She is survived by daughters, Anna Borden (Harold), Rusagonis, Sandra Comeau, Fredericton; son, Gerald (Helen), McLeod Hill; seven grandchildren, Lorenda (Troy), Amy, Jennifer (Mark), Natalie (Will), Corey, Joanne (Ray) and Stephen; great grandchildren, Mileena, Madeline, Brittany and Bryce; also survived by step grandchildren, Christopher (Marilyn), Andrew, Stephen (Jerusha) Borden; step great grandchildren, Aiden and Micah. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Austin and Gerald Jones; sisters, Glenna Plume and Daisy Brewer and son-in-law Gary Lawson. A Private Family Service will be held at York Funeral Home on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Interment will take place in the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, NB in the spring. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff of York Manor Nursing Home (Dixon Lodge) for the excellent care given to Mum during her stay there. A special thank you to Colleen for her loving companionship during the past year. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
