Obituary of Eileen Green

The death of Erma Eileen (Gibson Reid) Green, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Saturday February 26, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Taxis River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Davis) Gibson. Eileen was a member of the Holtville United Church and attended Nashwaaksis United Church. Eileen is survived by her sons Jim (Bobbie) Reid of Fredericton, NB and Rick (Wendy) Reid of Plaster Rock, NB; daughters Janice (David) Hashey of Fredericton, NB, Brenda (Ivan) Peterson of Waasis, NB, Marilyn (Bill) Wathen of Silverwood, NB and Norma (Dan) MaGee of Burton, NB; stepchildren Max Green of Hornby Island, BC and Norma (Roland) Bishop of Estey’s Bridge, NB; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; brothers Varney (Floris) Gibson of Douglas, NB and Ross (Austina) Gibson of Taxis River, NB; several nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her first husband Arnold Reid and second husband Gregory Green; brothers Clarence, Stafford, Melvin and Kenneth Gibson; sisters Lorena Hickey, Margarette Munn, Nellie Black and Phyllis Clowater. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB on Tuesday March 1, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 2 pm with Conard Symonds officiating. Interment will take place in the Cameron Hill Cemetery, at a later date. Pallbearers will be grandsons Jamie Reid, Andy Reid, Rick Peterson, Jon Munn, Matt MaGee and Jarrod Bishop.
