The passing of Mary Louise (Fullarton) Sparkes, of Fredericton, NB, formally of Stanley, NB, occurred on Sunday March 6, 2011 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on August 3, 1933 in Stanley, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Annie Mae Fullarton. Mary was affiliated with Cross Creek Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her daughters, Joan Munn (Thomas) of Boiestown, Margaret Colford (Marty) of Boiestown and Marilyn Graham of Fort McMurray, AB; sons, Robert (Brenda) of Prince Rupert, BC and Laurie (Olivia) of Stanley; one special daughter, Christa Mary Sparkes; special girl, Debbie Poirier; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters, Frances Hunter (Allan) of Astle, Roberta Bartlettt (Winston) of Stanley, Julia Kerr (Jack) of Stanley; brother, Wayne (Elizabeth) of Stanley and Dale (Barb) of Stanley; several nieces and nephews; her cat, Girley. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Lynwood Vernon Sparkes and his wife, Carol; grandson, Elvis; brothers, Emerson, Robert and Glen Fullarton. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Cross Creek Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating and Rev. Harold Jenkins assisting. Interment will take place in the Cross Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
