The passing of Audrey Isobel Reeleder, wife of George Delmar Reeleder, of Fredericton, occurred on March 10, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 1, 1921 in Taymouth, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Jean I. (McLennan) MacBean. Audrey was a retired teacher and a member of Nashwaaksis United Church. She was a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Literacy New Brunswick and other local organizations. Audrey dearly loved to travel and explore new countries and cultures. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Reeleder (Mark Suits) of Edmonton, AB; her sons, Richard Reeleder (Linda) of Burton, NB and David Pond (Marilyn) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Geoffrey Pond, Jonathan Pond, Zachary Suits, Liam Suits and Sarah Reeleder; great grandchildren, Charlotte and Harrison Pond; sisters, Gerrie Wood of Fredericton and Marion Wilding of Whitby, ON; sisters-in-law, Sandra MacBean of Stanley, NB and Anita MacBean of Peterborough, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald Pond (Pilot Officer); son, Carl Reeleder; infant son, Eric John Reeleder; sister, Myrtle; brothers, Scott and Ian and favorite uncle, Angus MacBean. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from Nashwaaksis United Church on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Mary Tingley and Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Reception will follow. Interment will take place in Woodstock Rural Cemetery, Houlton Road, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
