Obituary of Stuart Wood

Stuart Blair Wood “Adeena” (Gentle Spirit) of Mazerolle Settlement, NB, partner of Brenda Grant went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS. Born on February 16, 1953 in Montreal, QC, he was the son of Lorna (Craig) Wood and the late Browning Wood. Stuart was affliated with Victory Tabernacle Church. He was a delivery driver for Capital Deliveries. Stuart enjoyed writing poetry, music, long walks in the woods with his two beloved dogs, Wolfie and Tugger; he had a special place in his heart for all animals. He will be greatly missed by his partner and his two dogs. In addition to his loving mother and his partner, Brenda, Stuart is also survived by his daughter, Tanya Swain of Montreal, QC; step daughter, Lori McAleer-Mitchell (Rob) of Montreal, QC; grandsons, Jaziah and Darius; granddaughter, Kierstyn; sister, Shirley Bannister (Lloyd) of Montreal, QC; brother, Larry Wood of Toronto, ON and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother, Donnie. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Harold Jenkins and Pastor Weldon Mutch officiating.
