Obituary of Florence Munn

The passing of Florence “Flossie” Daisy (Norrad) Munn, wife of the late Harding Munn, occurred on August 3, 2008 at her home in Hayesville NB. Born on June 3, 1914, Flossie was a daughter of the late Ethylbert and Winnifred Norrad. Flossie is survived by daughters, Edwina Hunter (Leith) of Astle, Claudette Ross of Fredericton, June MacLellan of Boiestown, Patience Carson (Eugene) of Bloomfield, Vivian Berry (Gary Munn) of Hayesville; sons, Cecil Munn (Terry Mallory) of Sussex, Guy Munn (Sharon) of Parker Ridge, Henry Munn of Hayesville, Gardner Munn of Fredericton; special grand-daughter/nurse, Darlene Magrum; brothers, Cecil Norrad (Margaret) of Bloomfield, Alton Norrad (Alberta) of Bloomfield; daughter-in-law, Avis Munn; 24 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her chosen family members, Kenny, Gordon, Bing, Freddy, Star, Tanya, Vanessa and many more over the years. Besides her husband and parents, Flossie was predeceased by sisters Zona (Norrad) Munn and Isabel (Norrad) Black; brothers Allwyn, Vance, Jack, Ernest “Buster”, Robin, Lancy, Star, Beniah “Benny” and Clarence “Peter”; grandson, David Murray Munn; and son-in-law, Wayne Francis Magrum. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, on Wednesday August 6, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and prior to the Funeral Service which will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 3 pm with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey Hunter, Robert Berry, Rodney MacLellan, Wade Munn, James Mallory-Munn and Douglas Munn. Honourary pallbearers are Darcy Munn, Ray Magrum, Kirk Ross, Dion Carson and Duane Hunter. A reception will follow the service in the Boiestown Untied Church at 5 pm. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Boiestown United Church Building Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
