Obituary of Frederick Ross

The passing of Frederick “Ted” Winfield Ross, husband of Mona (Murray) Ross, of Boiestown, occurred on August 26, 2008 at the Dialysis Unit, Fredericton. Born on February 6, 1926 in Fredericton, he was a son of the late Clarence and Agnes (Fairley) Ross. Ted served in the Korean War with the RCR Battalion and served his military career with the Service Battalion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna Chayer of Lincoln and Karen Gadd (Skip) of Oromocto; fours sons, Jim Ross (Carla) of Lincoln, Blaine (Isabel) of Lloydminster, AB, Carl Ross of Boiestown and Joe Ross (Phyllis Ballard) of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Marion Ross; brothers, Bob (Carol), Herman (Josie), Victor (Jackie) and Larry (Peggy); several nieces and nephews; special friend, Lewis Hunter (Jean) and cousin, George Fairley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Susan Robichaud; sister, Christine Clarke; brother, Phillip Ross. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78 are asked to gather for a Tribute Service, Thursday at 7 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating and Rev. Stephen Ashfield assisting. Interment will take place in the Boiestown United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
