Obituary of Mabel Parker

The passing of Mabel Edith Parker of Abbotsford, BC, wife of the late Johnston Parker, occurred on November 4, 2008 at the Abbotsford General Hospital. Born on March 24, 1920 in Blissfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Grace Munn. She was a member of Truth Tabernacle Valley Pentecostal Church. Mabel was a devote Christian for 32 years. She loved to pray and enjoyed knitting. She had one granddaughter named after her; this made her very very happy, Deborah Mabel Parker. Mabel is survived by her daughters, Noreen (Judson) Fowler and Jane Parker; sons, Tony (Lois) Parker and Glendon (Melva) Parker; six granddaughters; six grandsons; six great granddaughters; eight great grandsons; sisters, Nora (Fred) Pratt, Juanita Carr and Rae Harris; brothers, Wesley (Mary) Munn, Richard (Beatrice) Dobson and Reginald (Betty) Munn and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mabel was predeceased by her sons, James Parker, Richard Parker and Duncan “John” Parker; grandson, Robert Fowler; sisters, Marrie, Phylis, Chris and Nola; brother, Nathaniel. Visitation will take place at First Pentecostal Church, Doaktown, NB on Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 9 am until noon, the Funeral Service will take place at 1 pm with Pastor Hayward Stewart officiating. Interment will take place in the First Pentecostal Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the First Pentecostal Church Memorial Fund (New Church Pews) would be appreciated by the family.
