The passing of Alexander “Sandy” Peterson of Upper Blackville, NB, husband of Carolyn (Urquhart) Peterson and Bampy to Kurissa occurred on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 13, 1940 in Upper Blackville, NB, he was the son of the late Ern and Linda Peterson. Sandy was an avid salmon fisherman and was a fishing guide for his long time friends Mason and Ed. Sandy will be remembered as an excellent father. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Kevin Peterson (Beth) of Hoyt, NB, Robert Peterson (Deanna) of Fredericton, NB; two daughters, Susan Peterson (Cecil) of Rusagonis, NB, Margie Callaghan (Rick) of Oromocto, NB; three brothers, Milton Peterson (Angie), Wilfred Peterson (Judy), Gerald Peterson all of Upper Blackville, NB; two sisters, Violet Arbeau, Lois Arbeau (Morrise) both of Upper Blackville, NB; ten grandchildren, Shirley, Alex, Chris, Michelle, Tiffany, Jodie, Brittany, Amanda, Alycia and Nicole; three great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Sandy was predeceased by one brother, Barry Peterson. Visitation will take place from the Upper Blackville United Baptist Church on Wednesday, November, 25, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the Upper Blackville United Baptist Church on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Inman officiating and Rev. Gary Taylor assisting. Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery. Donations made to the Upper Blackville United Baptist Church or to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation are appreciated by the family.
