Obituary of Perry Miner

The passing of Perry Irvine Miner of Boiestown, NB, occurred peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 24, 1926 in McGivney, NB, he was the son of the late Bedford and Leah (Stewart) Miner. He is survived and greatly loved and missed by his wife of 62 years, M. Frances (Rice) Miner; son, Gary Miner; daughter, Carolyn Miner; sister, Bertha Collins and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Murray Miner; cousins and chosen brothers, Harold and Arthur Grear. Perry was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Boiestown and a past warden. He was a break man and conductor with the CN Railways for 37 years and was privileged to serve as a conductor on one of the Royal visits. He loved the outdoors, pilling his wood and was a great friend of birds and wildlife. He was very diligent in the care and feeding of the birds. Visitation will take place in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Boiestown on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church on Wednesday at 3 pm with Father Andrew Fraser officiating. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery at a later date.
