Obituary of Gordon Price

The passing of Gordon C. Price of Priceville, NB, husband of the late Ruth Marion (Hunter) Price occurred on Tuesday, January 18, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 30, 1932 in Priceville, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Hattie (Stewart) Price. He was a Veteran having served in Canada and Continental Europe 1951-54, 1959-1970 as a Corporal. Gordon retired from the Department of Natural Resources where he operated an air tanker fighting forest fires. Gordon is survived by his daughters, Belinda Price of Moncton, NB and Wendy Price of Red Deer, AB, Bernice Price of Priceville, NB, Brenda O’Donnell (Ted) of McNamee, NB; sons, Wallace Price (Sue) of Red Deer, AB and Keith Price of Red Deer, AB; grandchildren, Tara-Lynn, Luke, Trevor, Megan, Rocky, Shane and Kyle; great grandchild, Alexander; special friend, Jean Brown. Gordon was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Frank; sisters, Daisy Carson and Isabel Vank; brother, Hubert and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. James the Greater Anglican Church on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 2 pm with Father Andrew Fraser officiating. Interment will take place in Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
