Obituary of Gerald Munn

The passing of Gerald Alvin Munn of Porter Cove, NB, occurred on February 7, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 4, 1944, Gerald was a son of the late Bertram and Hazel (Pond) Munn. He worked as a woodsman throughout his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and time at his camp. Gerald is survived by his companion, Virginia Case of Boiestown, NB; brother, Danny (Issabell) of Porter Cove, NB; sisters, Leona Munn of Porter Cove, NB, Victoria Lyons (Weyman), Ruth Burke (Earl), Brenda Matthews (Jody) and Darlene Jardine all of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by a sister, Betty Munn and her husband, Herman. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 am with Pastor Cole Price officiating. Pallbearers will be Jody Matthews, Wayne Case, James Price, Eugene Munn, Melvin Munn Jr. and Kendall Lyons. Interment will take place in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Porter Cove at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
