Obituary of Olive Long

The passing of Olive Martha Long of Priceville, NB, wife of the late Albert Long, occurred on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 13, 1931 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Gilks) Brown.
Olive is survived by her daughters, Flossie (Roger) Enman of Mazerolle Settlement, NB and Flora (Ron) Gerbrandt of Calgary, AB; sons, Bonner (Laura Mae) of Priceville, NB, Melvin (Sherri) of Calgary, AB and Edwin (Louise) Long of Priceville, NB; foster son, Stephen (Nancy) Peterson of Chipman, NB; 11 grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Brown of Doaktown, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Olive was predeceased by her brothers, Wesley and Mason; sister, Megan Mae Inkin.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating. Interment will take place at Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery, Ludlow, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
