Obituary of Perley Lyons
The passing of Perley Ansel Lyons, of Nelson Hollow, NB, husband of Norma (Amos) Lyons occurred on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at his home. Born on January 28, 1933 he was a son of the late Fred and Mae (Ward) Lyons. Perley worked for several years with Irving as a truck driver. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time in his garden.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, Perley is survived by his children, Deborah Cowie and James Lyons (Cathy) both of Nelson Hollow, NB; grandchildren, Tammy (Andrew) Anthony, Kelly (Andrew) Shaw, Timothy, Trevor and Tyson Cowie, Jimmy (Melissa) Lyons and Rebecca (Shawn) Lyons; great grandchildren, Hannah and Olivia Robinson, Brennan and Bryden Munn, Leigha and Patrick Shaw, Kaitlyn Anthony; brother and sister-in-law, Weaver and Margaret Amos; nieces and nephews, Bonnie, Bev, Bob and Barry; several cousins.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8 New Bandon, NB on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2 pm with Pastor Roger Mitchell officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Timmy, Trevor and Tyson Cowie, Jimmy Lyons, Shawn Munn and Andrew Anthony. Interment will take place in St. Thomas United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
