Obituary of Mae Johnston

The passing of Mae Louise Johnston of Doaktown, NB, wife of Willis Johnston, occurred on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 4, 1947 in NB, she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Naida (Mitchell) Doak. Mae Louise was an affiliate of the Doaktown United Baptist Church. She was a self employed hairdresser. Mae Louise enjoyed gardening, seasonal decorating, reading, cooking and loved being with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Mae Louise is survived by her sons, David (Lisa) Storey of Doaktown, NB, Dean Storey of Fredericton, NB and Dwayne (Karen) Storey of Moncton, NB; step-sons, Gerald (Cathy) Johnston and Kenneth Johnston; grandchildren, Katie, Anthony, John, Laura, Chris, Joel, Emma, Sarah, Myles, Mason, Christopher, Marshall, Cole, Matthew and Jesse; sister, Delia (Dennis) Storey of Doaktown, NB; brother, Allison Doak of Doaktown, NB; half brother, Elvis Coughlan of Miramichi, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Beverly Doak. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, NB on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Doaktown United Baptist Church on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. J. A. Treese officiating. Interment will take place in the Wesleyan Cemetery, Doaktown, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Doaktown Baptist Church.
