Obituary of Harold Munn

With his loving wife and daughters by his side, Harold Gordon “Alvin” Munn of Taxis River, NB, peacefully entered God’s heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 15, 1938 in Taxis River, NB, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ruth Munn. Alvin will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Gretta (Storey) and his two daughters, Stacy Munn (Ray Robinson) of Oromocto, NB, and Lisa Munn of Fredericton, NB. He was a Millwright of Ashley Colter Mill, Boiestown, NB. Alvin enjoyed music especially playing his guitar, he also liked horses. In addition to his wife and daughters, Alvin is survived by his two sisters, Marjorie Munn of Fredericton, NB, and Lorna (Frank) McKeown of Grand Bay-Westfield; six brothers, Jimmy (Mabel) of Taxis River, NB, Otto (Joline) of Parker’s Ridge, NB, Irvine of Taxis River, NB, Michael (Judy) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Tom of Taxis River, NB, and Philip (Velvet) of Astle, NB; several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Darrell. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday March 5, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. Interment will take place in Parker’s Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Russell Storey, Leonard Storey, Arthur Robinson Jr., Philip Munn, Tom Munn and Washburn Storey; Honourary Pallbearers will be his special home care support workers, Cora Lynn Colford, Edna Peterson and Bonnie Clowater. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be greatly appreciated by the family.
