Life Legacy The passing of Brenda Rae Wesley of Douglas, NB, wife of Andrew MacDonald occurred on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on June 9, 1952 in Shelburne, NS, she was the daughter of the late William and Verna June (Carver) Wesley. Brenda grew up Antigonish, NS and after graduation moved to Halifax to begin her career as a RN. She graduated Halifax Infirmary in 1972. Following her marriage in 1979 she moved to Fredericton, NB where she was a nurse for 30 years at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Although a Nova Scotian at heart, Fredericton became her home where she raised her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and devoted grandmother to her grandson who brought her so much joy in the last years of her life. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones she loved. In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her daughters, Colleen MacDonald and Rebecca Russell (Brendan); grandson, Weston; siblings, Bill Wesley (Judith), Dane Wesley (Stephanie) and Stirling Wesley; nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4-6 pm; with Words of Remembrance at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Fredericton or to Chalmers Hospital Foundation (ICU). Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
