Obituary of Terrence MacPherson

The passing of Terrence Earl MacPherson occurred on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at York Care Centre. Born on April 4, 1951 in Fredericton, NB, Terry was the son of the late Hugh Lee MacPherson and Catherine (Kay) Gertrude Allen. Terry Mac was a lifelong resident of Marysville, and a fixture in the sports community there for many years. Growing up at the foot of Baseball Hill, he was a graduate of Fredericton High School and a devout fan of the Marysville Royals. Later, his Facebook comments rarely failed to bring a smile to the face of many, and his on-line presence has been sorely missed in the last couple of years. He is survived by his sister, Joanne Rideout; sister-in-law, Gayle MacPherson; nephews, Allison MacPherson, Ian MacPherson, Lee MacPherson, Eric Rideout and David MacPherson; nieces, Jennifer Rideout, Jody MacPherson, and Shannon MacPherson; as well as chosen niece, Isabelle Rock Ashfield and her mother, Marguerite MacPherson. Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by brothers, Walter (Buddy) MacPherson and Paul MacPherson. The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of the York Care Centre for the wonderful care they provided to Terry. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2-4 pm. The Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 6, 202 at 2 pm with Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Marysville United Baptist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
