Obituary of Marion Kennedy

The passing of Marion Frances Kennedy of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late John Kennedy occurred on Thursday, January 02, 2020 at York Care Centre. Born on July 21, 1937 in St. John’s, NL, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Olive (Vinnecombe) Tucker. Marion was a member of the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church. She loved to write poems, paint and music, she especially loved Gospel Hymns and spending time with her grandchildren. Marion is survived by daughters, Teena (Kennedy) Laagland (Michael), Judy Beek (Robert) and Linda Kennedy; sons, Randy Kennedy (Bonnie) and Douglas Kennedy; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Marion was predeceased by her son, Frank Kennedy. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, January 05, 2020 at 2 pm with Rev. Lawrence Meade officiating. Interment will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.
