Obituary of Sheila Miles

The passing of Sheila Joyce Miles of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Ralph Paul Miles, occurred on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Paradise Villa. Born on July 19, 1936 in Marysville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Joyce (Peterson) Fallon. Sheila Miles was a lifelong resident of Marysville, grew up on Knob Hill and worked for a time at the mill. The oldest of six children she was confidant, role model, trusted advisor and friend to her siblings. Sheila was a wonderful bowler and later in life an avid golfer. A true nature lover, Sheila loved to walk and was a champion for all animals. She especially loved her cats. More than anything she loved her family, Sheila was a devoted Grandmother, loving mother and wife, caring sister and trusted friend. Sheila is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Miles (Bill Gibson) of Lower Durham; sons, David Miles (Tammy) of Lower Durham and Ralph Miles Jr. (Sue Madigan) of Sheffield; beloved granddaughter, Emily Taylor of Fredericton, NB; siblings, Peter Fallon (Nila Jones), Beth Fallon (Ned Keleher) and Paul Fallon (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Sheila was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Sibley; brother, Tommy Fallon; nephew Tim Fallon and his son. Sheila’s family would like to thank the staff of Paradise Villa especially the amazing people of Tranquility Lane for their loving care and friendship. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive Fredericton, NB on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 1-2 pm, followed by Memorial Service at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
