Obituary of Doreen Pond

The passing of Doreen “Dodie” Louise Pond of Ludlow, NB, wife of the late Charles Pond occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on September 2, 1929 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eunice (Gillespie) Morehouse. Dodie owned the Porter Cove Fishing Camp. She was a member of the Ludlow United Baptist Church. Dodie is survived by her sons, Keith Pond (Marsha) and Greg Pond (Ina Faye) both of Porter Cove, NB; grandchildren, Andrea Nicholson (Jim) of New Maryland, NB, Sally Henderson of Fredericton, NB, Bradley Pond of Fredericton, NB and Curtis Pond (Stephanie) of Fredericton, NB; several great and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Field (Bill) of Fredericton, NB and Delores Jones (Stanley) of Pictou, NS; brothers, Donald Morehouse of Toronto, ON and Perley Morehouse (Effie) of Doaktown, NB; sister-in-law, Dorothy Morehouse of Prince George, BC several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Isabelle Hovey; brother, Darrell Morehouse; sisters-in-law, Mary and Betty. There will be no services by request. Interment will take place in Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery.
