Obituary of Krista Wilkins Mombourquette

The passing of Dr. Krista Lynn Wilkins Mombourquette of Fredericton, NB, wife of Brian Mombourquette occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 26, 1975 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of David and Margo (Pitt) Wilkins. Dr. Wilkins was a Professor and Researcher with the University of New Brunswick. She was an avid cross stitcher; loved travelling with Brian and spending time at the RV in Beddeck, Cape Breton. Krista delighted in watching videos of her nephew, Eric; and was an avid basketball fan of nieces and nephew, Lance, Addie and Maryn. She adored her dog, Bella. In addition to her parents and husband, Krista is survived by her sister, Karrie Whalen (Kevin); grandmother, Myrtle Bowser; many other nieces and nephews in Cape Breton. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Gordon and Marion Pitt; paternal grandparents, Raleigh and Alberta Wilkins. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 1-2 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
