Obituary of Elaine Dunphy

The passing of Elaine Collette Dunphy of Fredericton, NB occurred on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Fredericton Hospice House. Born on February 12, 1950 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Vanstone (Jean) and Avis (Jones) Williams (Weldon). Elaine retired after working at NB Power for 22 years. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister. Elaine enjoyed bowling, puzzles, reading and bingo. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Herbert (Derek); son, Rick Dunphy (Shelli Richardson); grandchildren, Kodi Burtt, Alexis Herbert, Bailey Herbert, Caitlyn Clifford, Alyssah Dunphy, Jacey Dunphy, Ricky Dunphy, Sam Richardson, Taylor Marks and Matt Gallant; sister, Theresa Hawkins (Blaine); niece and nephew, Chris Hawkins (April) and Tracy LeBlanc; several great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas and David Vanstone. A Memorial Service will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11 am with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall officiating with a reception to follow at the church. A Private Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Zealand, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton or to St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
