Obituary of Catherine Smith

Life Legacy The passing of Catherine Linda Smith of Fredericton, NB, wife of Rick Smith occurred on Monday, October 21, 2019 at York Care Centre. Born on January 11, 1961 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Marie (Hartley) (Michael Murphy) and the late Albert Ward. Catherine worked in Administration at Electric Motor Service. Catherine was a member of the Fredericton Antique Car Club; she enjoyed crafts and gardening. In addition to her husband, mother and step-father, Catherine is survived her son, Bradley Bates of Fredericton, NB; step-daughter, Kelly Smith of Fredericton, NB and step-son, Jason Smith; sisters, Patricia Ward and Elaine Jewett (Neil) both of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Rod Croucher Jr. (Melanie) of Fredericton, NB, James Ward of Vancouver, BC and Dale Ward (Joe) of Thailand; step-sister, Tracy Matheson of Harvey, NB; step-brother, Mike Murphy (Angie) of Hamilton, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her infant brother, Stephen Ward. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 4-7 pm.
