Obituary of Armand Sharpe
The Spirit of Armand Sharpe, our good example and mentor, returned to God on Friday, October 11, 2019. He was born in Pembrook, NB on October 7, 1925, the son of Roy C. Sharpe and Hazel (Fawcett) Sharpe.
The surviving family includes his wife, Doreen E (Reid) Sharpe; son, Donald Sharpe; daughter-in-law, Mabel (Vibert) Sharpe; grandchildren, Carl Sharpe (Sheri) and Amanda Sharpe (friend, Jason); great-grand daughter, Charlotte Sharpe; sister-in-law, Miriam (Reid) Hunter; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Armand was predeceased by his parents; his daughter, Arlene Sharpe; his six siblings, Jennie Trainor, Rena McGroty, Pearl Williston, Albert Sharpe, Anna Pratt and Bernard Sharpe; as well as five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
He worked for several years in electrical construction, as a major appliance technician, and later as owner and manager of Central Electric Ltd. He disbanded the firm and retired in 1983.
The family will receive visitors at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2 pm at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery, Woodstock Road, Fredericton. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
