Obituary of Donald Hannan

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, father, papa, brother and uncle, Donald “Steve” Hannan on Monday, September 30, 2019 at home, with his loving wife by his side. Steve was born in Quebec City, QC on March 15, 1956 to Doris (Camish) Hannan and the late Donald K. Hannan. In addition to his mother, Steve leaves behind to mourn his wife, Lori (Wheeler); daughter, Krystine (Simon) and his adored grandchildren, Ryann, Chase and Riley; also left to mourn are his siblings, Jim (Ginette), Margaret, Eileen (Greg) and Neil (Leslie); as well as his nieces and nephews. As per Steve’s wishes there will be no service; however a Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 2-4 pm. A Private Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care and compassion given to Steve by Extra Mural Program and Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Douglas Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
