Obituary of Oscar Munn

MUNN, OSCAR WILLIS The passing of Oscar Willis Munn of New Bandon, NB, husband of Zelda (Lyons) Munn occurred on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Veterans Health Unit. Born on May 19, 1923 in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Hazel (Storey) Munn. Oscar worked as a Labourer and Woodsman. He was a member of the McNamee Pentecostal Assembly. In addition to his wife, Oscar is survived by his step sons, Thomas Lyons (Cathy Coffey) of Killarney, NB and Dale Munn (Lana) of Annapolis Royal, NS; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two chosen daughters, Paulette Munn (Herb) and Barbie “Pooh” Carlson (Ben); sister, Joyce Cairns; brothers, Calvin and James Munn; sister-in-law Marguerite Munn; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Clara McAlwee; brothers, David, Kail and Percy Munn; step-sons, Brian Lyons and infant Albert Corrier. Visitation will take place at McNamee Pentecostal Assembly on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 7-9 pm. Visitation will take place at McNamee Pentecostal Assembly on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 12-2 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Allison Cromwell officiating. Interment will take place at McNamee Pentecostal Cemetery in Porter Cove. Special thank you to Dr. Keddy and staff at the Veterans Health Unit, for their compassionate care during Oscar’s time there.
