Obituary of Isabel Bunker
With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Isabel Bunker of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Arthur Bunker occurred on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Paradise Villa. Born on June 20, 1922 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of Mary Young and Albert Thompson, she was the chosen daughter of Vivian Thompson. Isabel was a homemaker for whom family always came first; she loved her cat, Amy, cooking, gardening and was an avid “Skip Bo” player. She also enjoyed camping with her late husband and was very active in the Church which included her bible study and missionary groups.
Isabel is survived by her daughter, Donna Wilson (Henry) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Tim Wilson (Debbie), John Wilson (Laura) of Halifax, NS, David Wilson (Shannon) of Woodstock, NB; great-grandchildren, Meaghan, Mattias, Macayla and Kyla; sisters Dawna O’Hara (Wayne), Margaret Hoben. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Pat Grieve; brothers, Jack and Gerald Thompson; son-in-law, Daryl McMullin.
Visitation will take place at Devon Park Baptist Church, Fredericton, NB on Friday, July 19, 2019 from 12-2 pm; followed by Funeral Service at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrance may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
