Obituary of Zelda O'Donnell

The passing of Zelda Evelyn O’Donnell of McNamee, NB, wife of the late Eric O’Donnell occurred on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Fredericton Hospice House. Born on February 2, 1932 in McNamee, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Verna (O’Donnell) Clowater. Zelda was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church; the church choir, ACW and the Women’s Institute. Zelda is survived by her daughter, Brenda O’Donnell; daughter-in-law, Beverley O’Donnell; grandchildren, Shonna, Shannon (Angela), Andrew, Suzanne (Chad) and Michael (Elena); great-grandchildren, Skyler, Konnar, Karter and Ayla; great-great-grandchildren, Owen, Kieran and Axton; brother, Lloyd Clowater (Gail); sisters-in-law, Georgina (Ben) and Betty; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Zelda was predeceased by her sons, Addison (infant) and Eric "Chub" O’Donnell; sister, Gertrude McCormick; brothers, Hudson, Earl, Cyril and Lawrence Clowater. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Doaktown, NB on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 11 am with Father Neil Osiowy officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll’s Crossing Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Fredericton.
