Obituary of Stanley Campbell

The passing of Stanley Winston Campbell of Stanley, NB, husband of the late Della (Price) Campbell occurred on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 19, 1932 in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Beatrice (Rogers) Campbell. Stanley worked for Diamond Construction. He retired from Nashwaak Villa where he worked in maintenance. He was a past member of Stirling United Church; the Lions Club and was a volunteer with the St. John Ambulance for many years. Stanley enjoyed reading and playing cards. Stanley is survived by his daughters, Heather Thomas (Ross), Betty Wilkins (Ronald) and Linda Hawkes (Marty); grandchildren, Nicholas (Paige), Rodney (Paula), Jarett (Hannah), Amanda (Shawn), Benji (Ashley), Harmony (Ryan), Devon (Jiselle) and Luke (Kaylee); thirteen great grandchildren; sister in law, Jeanette Campbell; several nieces and nephews. Stanley was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents and wife, Stanley was predeceased by his son, Winston Campbell; brothers, Raymond and Walter Campbell and sister in law, Gladys Campbell. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Brian DeLong and Rev. Canon Bonita LeBlanc officiating. Honourary Pallbearers will be Stanley’s grandchildren. Interment will take place in Stirling United Church Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Nashwaak Villa.
