Obituary of Paulette Doak

The passing of Paulette Yvonne Doak of Fredericton, NB, wife of Charles “Arden” Doak occurred on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on March 18, 1950 in Caledonia, NS, she was a daughter of the late Mervin and Evangeline (Weare) Merry. Paulette was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Kin Canada (Kin Club of Nashwaaksis), spent 40 years doing community service work for Kin Canada, participated and co-chaired the annual Santa Clause parade and had a 30 year career at Loblaws. Paulette was also an avid bingo player. Besides her husband, Paulette is survived by her daughter, Amanda Crouse; son, Scot (Tracy) Doak; grandchildren, Jenna, Brianne and Austin Crouse; sisters, Lynn Martin and Gail Fancy; brothers, Leigh and Larry Merry; mother in law, Doris Doak; sister in law, Flora Hunter; several nieces and nephews; her cherished two cats, Odd Ball, Sebastian and dog, Presley. In addition to her parents, Paulette was predeceased by her sister, Sharon Merry and brother, James Merry. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating.
