Obituary of Zola Carr

On Friday, April 19, 2019, Zola Louise Carr left her earthly home for her heavenly reward. Formerly of Boiestown, NB, she was a resident of Ste. Anne’s Court Retirement Home in Fredericton. Born in Parkers Ridge, NB on June 7, 1934, Zola was the eldest daughter of the late Clayton and Mildred (Spencer) Stewart. She was a much loved teacher of 35 years spending the majority of her career at UMRHS in Boiestown. She had a great passion for the education and growth of her students. Zola was also devoted to her church family at Gateway of Hope for many years. She shared her faith in God freely with love and compassion. Her pride and joy was her family. Zola is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Comito (Gregg) and Rhonda Schreiber (Carl) both of North Carolina; sons, Stewart Carr of North Carolina, Arthur Carr of Beresford, NB and Brett Carr (Carolyn) of Boiestown, NB; grandchildren, Joe Carr (Amanda), Jeff Carr (Emma), Josh Carr (Chelsea), Scott Forbes and Katelyn Forbes (Craig Leech), Caleb, Jared and Madelyn Comito, Wes Schreiber, Ben, Danielle, Sam, Abbey, Leah Grace, Jesse, Josie and Rachel Carr; great-grandchildren, Kole, Calix, Nadia, Danika and Zayden; sisters Paula Hovey (Robert), Mona Moram (Ron), Sandra Ferris (Tom); brothers, Stanley Stewart (Sereta) and Gary Stewart (Joan); sister-in-law, Sis. Ruth Carr; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Zola was predeceased by her husband James Carr; sister, Deanna Gaston; and brother, Harley Stewart. Visitation will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly, Boiestown, NB on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Gateway of Hope Assembly on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Stephen Ashfield officiating assisted by Rev. Gordon Green. Interment will be in Parkers Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances are welcome to the Gateway of Hope Assembly or Central New Brunswick Academy Library.
