Obituary of Sylvia Woodcock

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family regrets to inform you of the passing of Sylvia Viola (Beek) Woodcock of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Glenn Woodcock which occurred on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 6, 1931 in Storeytown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius “Neil” and Minnie (Storey) Beek. Sylvia worked for the Provincial Department of Supply and Services, retiring in 1992. She was affiliated with St. Margaret's Anglican Church. Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Janice Wyton (Russell) of Riverview, NB, Jocalyn Fraser (Alex) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, and daughter in law, Donna Kippen of Stony Plain, AB; grandchildren, Jill Coggar (Pat), Kent Fraser (Becky), Jason Fraser, Jessica McIntosh (Alex), Ryan Kippen (Jenn), Evan Wyton and Graecen Wyton; great-grandchildren, Jackson Coggar, Callie Thebeau, Hadley Fraser and Ryker McIntosh; brother, Vincent Beek (Orilla) of Storeytown, NB; sisters in law, Helen Woodcock of London, ON and Bertha Woodcock of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Sylvia was predeceased by her son, Rick Woodcock; sisters, Bertha Holmes, Pauline Storey and Verna Munn; brothers Turnie Beek, Cyril Beek and Donald Beek. The family would like to thank all those who made special visits to the hospital and all of those who kept her in their thoughts and prayers. The Memorial Service will take place at St. Margaret's Anglican Church, 775 Forest Hill Road, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rob Langmaid officiating. Interment will take place in St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery, Doaktown, NB, at a later date.
