Obituary of Carolyn Wright-Degan

The passing of Carolyn Rose Wright-Degan (Wright) of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Fredericton Hospice. Born on April 21, 1946 in Woodstock, NB, she was the daughter of Bernice (Bishop) Wright and the late Everett Wright. In addition to her mother, Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Cherie Oldenburg of Toronto, ON; son, Shawn Oldenburg (Cindy) of Fredericton, NB and their father, Tom Oldenburg; three grandchildren, Jarrett, Jackson and Shelby; siblings, Brenda Grant (Late Don), Larry Wright (Penny), Elaine English (Gerry) and Eloise Wright; nieces and nephews; her chosen daughter and friend, Tammy O’Donnell. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her second husband, Dio Degan. At Carolyn’s request and honoured by her family, her body was donated to the Dalhousie Medical Research Program.
