Obituary of Zella Haines
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Zella Pearl (Williams) Haines, wife of the late Sanford Haines of the Dorn Ridge, NB which occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at the home of her daughter Brenda, surrounded by loved ones. Born September 5, 1939 in Keswick, NB, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Dunphy) and Cecil Williams. She worked as a housekeeper and Nanny, later on working for Dunphy's Poultry Farm grading eggs, until retirement. Her passions were reading her bible, knitting, and word searches. Above everything else Mom always put her family first and thoroughly enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She was also an active silent member of her community doing behind the scene things such as fundraising for different organizations, putting on benefits, and food packages for people in need. She was also an auxiliary member of the Keswick Valley Fire Department organizing food and beverages for the men and women serving their community.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Luce (Cleatus), Rose Bennett (Perry) both of Burtt's Corner, NB; sons, Murray (Linda) and Stephen both of Stanley, NB, Eric (Faye) and Brian (Suzanne) both of Burtt's Corner, NB; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; her furry companion Izzy; chosen daughter, Rhonda Moore (Robbie) of Harvey, NB; two brothers, George Williams (Ruth) of Zealand, NB and Norman Williams (Debbie) of Wallacetown, ON; two sisters, Mae Burtt of Fredericton, NB and Annabelle Beifer of Ottawa, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Sanford; her son, Edwin; daughter in law, Shawna McNally; three grandsons; two great grandchildren; sister, Annie Yeo (Ernest); brothers in law, Lyle Burtt and Larry Beifer.
At her request there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the Burtt's Corner Christian Church on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2 pm with Pastor Dan Foreman officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Eddie Johnson, Francis Logan, Danny Hoyt, Nick Colford, Dave Wellwood and Allan Brewer. Interment will take place at the Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers Francis Logan, Amy MacDonald and Cathy Vanhorne, the extra mural team and Phyllis Morehouse for her support to us.
