Obituary of Harriet Lyons

It is with profound sadness the family announce the passing of Harriet Roberta Lyons of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Henry Lyons which occurred on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at York Care Centre. Born on December 27, 1923 in Minto, NB she was the daughter of the late James and Jemima (Bragg) Hiltz. Harriet was a member of the Capital Community Church. She loved to read, watch movies; enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She especially loved when grandson, Greg, his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Jackson and Claire, came by for visits. Harriet is survived by her daughter, Sharon Leckey of Fredericton, NB; son, Robert Lyons (Elaine) of Priceville, NB; grandson, Greg Lyons (Sarah) of Fredericton, NB; her two sweet great grandchildren, Jackson and Claire; numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family; in addition to her husband and parents, Harriet was predeceased by her twelve siblings; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Capital Community Church on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1 pm with Pastor Jack Leaman officiating. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the York Care Foundation.
