Obituary of Harold Hunter

Life Legacy The passing of Harold Eugene Hunter of Astle, NB occurred on Friday, March 15, 2019 at home. Born on August 3, 1928 in Hayesville, NB, he was the son of the late Vincent and Lillian (Palmer) Hunter. Harold retired from the Canadian National Railway after 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working as a guide. Harold is survived by his daughters, Sharon Arbeau (Lyman) of Doaktown, NB, Coleen Peterson (Winslow) of Blackville, NB and Paulette Hunter (Patrick) of Miramichi, NB; sons, Merlin Hunter (Elizabeth), Edward Hunter both of Astle, NB and Phillip Hunter (Cheryl) of Prince George, BC; their mother, Dorothy McLean of Boiestown, NB; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Camella Smith (Peter) of Hanwell, NB; brother, Vincent Hunter (Barbara) of Astle, NB; many nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by a son, Ersoll Hunter; sisters, Ethel Allen, Mary Brown and Bertha Hunter; brothers, Roy and Lewis Hunter. Visitation will take place at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, Doaktown, NB on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Abundant Life Pentecostal Church on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Ronald Carroll and Pastor Ed Arbeau officiating. Interment will be at Astle Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
