We share in the heartbreaking loss of one so very special to us...our hearts are truly overwhelmed with a lifetime of beautiful memories and times shared, sweet laughter and fun, now all mixed together with endless tears of great sorrow and loss, and prayers of deep Gratitude and Love. I often told Darren that I believed his Life success was his absolute sincerity as he spoke to all and anyone..."on the air" and in person...from his beloved wife Janice, his devotion to his son Owen, his loving Mum and Dad, and precious sister, Trudy...dear family and special cousins and friends, Darren loved and laughed and lived Life! Yet greater still...he "touched the hearts" of all who were blessed to know him! So,dear Darren, when we sit alone,or gather as family and friends, or sit on the camp porch overlooking the Miramchi,or say our prayers at night...you will "be there"! Ever loved and remembered by Anne, Deverne, and Family

I share in your sadness as I offer my deep condolences to Janice, Owen, Mavis, Fred, Trudy and Monna. Although Darren was my cousin, he was also my friend; you couldnt help but love him. I will always cherish the last time I saw Darren in Porter Cove. That fall day we had some deep conversations, and of course a lot of laughs. Important questions were also tackled such as Darren wanting to know my take on the cleanliness of leaving sponges in the sink, and bath loofas in the shower. That last visit, I recall thinking, I am so lucky to know Darren. He was a special person who had a profound effect on so many, just by being himself. He always made space for others in his life, treating people like family, and lending an empathetic non-judgemental ear. He genuinely cared about people, and had that special quality of treating you like an honoured guest. Darren also had the gift of effortless humour; he was undeniably intelligent, witty, and sometimes silly. I loved it all. In the words of one of your favourites Darren...
There is no off position on the genius switch.

Sending my deepest condolences and love to you, Janice, and the rest of your dear family during this difficult time.
I havent been back to Moncton in years, but kept in touch with Darren via Instagram, often sending messages back and forth, chatting about family, friends, work, bunnies.
He was a face I always loved to see, always with a big smile, and a big hug to match. I feel happy to have known him, and will miss seeing his antics, and hearing that fantastic laugh of his that I looked forward to on his Instagram stories.
Sending so much love from BC.

For Mavis, Fred, Trudy, Janice, Owen and Monna:
We will remember Darren as a compassionate and authenic young man, with an intense passion for life; he was a dear nephew.
From the moment that this little boy entered the world, we were captured by his sweet smile. With his gift for making those around him feel special, he never thought of himself as a victim. He recently told me after his Montreall trip with his parents, that he was blessed. He was generous and enthusiastic, with a profound zest for life...family, relationships and music. No gathering was complete until Darren walked through the door.
His effervescent laugh would fill the room, as he would entertain us by the hours with his many stories and accents. Darren was playful and extremely witty (a special gift from his
mom). He was wise with a beautiful spirit and depth. His love for family was unsurpassed. I give his family my heartfelt love on their overwhelming loss. May you be comforted and may your grief be softened by knowing how deeply he loved you all.
Although you left us much too soon, I believe you are now strong and free in your new life. I will cherish the many memories we shared of your childhood, your growing up years, our cottage gatherings and that memorable Vegas outing .
You are a distance from us now, but your light can never be extinguished; it will forever shine brightly within those you left behind. We are all better for having known you. I know the heavens are rejoicing with another dear angel to welcome home.
I love you and will miss you greatly , sweet Darren Do. Love , Auntie Deanna

I first met Darren at my wedding, to his cousin Alison, where he volunteered to snap Polaroids of our guests for a commemorative book. He joked and chatted his way around the room, doing his thing, with that big laugh. Over the years, as we got to know each other, the thing that always struck me was his genuine interest in what you had to say and what was happening in your life; a real testament to Fred and Mavis.
I always loved sitting out at the camp with Darren chatting about music, politics and our beloved Montreal Canadiens. I will miss him dearly.
