Obituary of Ethel Burlock

The passing of Ethel Rowena Burlock of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Carl Burlock occurred on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Paradise Villa. Jewellery and giftware were Ethel’s passion. She enjoyed a long career working in Fredericton jewellery stores. Ethel enjoyed spending time with friends, entertaining, cooking, looking after her yard and spending her winters in Florida. Ethel is survived by her daughter, Kim Kelly (Pat); son, Dana Burlock; grandchildren, Hailey, Erin and Sara; sisters, Freda Henderson, Hepsey Edgar, Sandra Gilbey, Helen Parker, Areta Trail; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was predeceased by her infant daughter, Carol Burlock; sister, Evelyn Grant; brothers, John and Malcolm Sandwith. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
