Obituary of Peter Moir

VISITATION TUESDAY FROM 2-4 AND 7-9 PM Peter Todd Moir FUNERAL SERVICE POSTPONED TO THURSDAY FEBRUARY 14, 2019 AT 2 PM We are very saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Peter Todd Moir of Timmins, ON at the Health Sciences North Centre, Greater Sudbury, ON on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the age of 54. He was a devoted husband to Kelly Moir (Price) for the past 34 years. He was extremely proud of his two sons, Christopher (Kerry) and their children, Kayden, Halle and Addison and Chad (Samantha) and their children, Logan and Skye who all reside in Timmins, ON. Also left behind to mourn his loss is his only sister, Nicole Moir (Chris Black) of Rigault, QC; brothers, Troy Moir (Tanya Hinchey) of Boiestown, Mark Moir (Jennifer) of Bloomfield Ridge, Danny Calhoun (Karen) of Woodstock, Andy Calhoun (Shelly) of Boiestown, Timmy Calhoun (Joannie) of Sussex, Dougie Calhoun (Alice) of Taxis River, Terry Calhoun (Greta) of Taxis River, and Ronnie Calhoun (Ella-Mae) of Bloomfield Ridge. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Judy Morehouse of Bloomfield Ridge; his father-in-law, Manley Price (Pat) of Boiestown and brother-in-law, Jerry Price (Julie) of Boiestown; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Peter loved his canine friend 'Jake'. He was predeceased by his parents Donald Moir (1975), June Clowater Moir Calhoun (2014) and Colby Calhoun (2006). Peter graduated from Upper Miramichi Regional High School in 1982. He worked in the forestry Industry with his company PK Moir and Sons, first in NB and for the past 13 years in Timmins, ON. He loved fast cars, his bike and his boats. He loved to entertain family and friends. Visitation will take place at the Miramichi Valley Chapel in New Bandon on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Service of Remembrance will also take place at the Miramichi Valley Chapel on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Neil Osiowy officiating. Interment will take place in the Moir plot at the Bloomfield Ridge United Church Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Bloomfield Ridge United Church Cemetery. Personal condolences may be offered through www.miramichivalleyfh.com
