Obituary of Deena Thompson

Deena L. Thompson, age 65 of Fredericton went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 25th. She was born on October 3 1953 in Fredericton to Gerald and the late Eva Billings. Deena is survived by; her husband of 38 years Adrian, children; Jennifer Drost (Ryan) and Kate Gagnon (Greg), siblings; Dale Billings (Louise), Patti Morrison (Stuart) and Jeff Billings (Brenda), precious grandchildren; Maddison, Zachary, Daniel and Hannah. Deena studied and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1975. She continued her education at the University of New Brunswick receiving her Bachelor of Nursing in 1984 then Occupational Health from Lawrence College in 2009. Deena worked as a nurse in various departments of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and in the community with the Extra Mural Hospital Program. Deena’s helping and concern for people extended far beyond the walls of her work. Deena will be missed by her family, friends and colleagues. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice Fredericton or Greenhill Lake Camp. I Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks.” Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 1 until 2; followed by a service at 2 pm with Rev.
