I apologize for the late entry.
We were so saddened by Margaret's passing. She was a truly remarkable person whom I have known my entire life. She was my mother's first and favourite cousin. They shared a deep engagement and joy for life. All who knew her were graced with her luminous and irrepressible spirit.

Dear Elizabeth:
I was so sorry to hear (via the Toronto Wren Association Newsletter) that your dear Mother has passed away. I offer you, your father Angus, your siblings, and your extended family deepest condolences from all of us at the Nova Scotia Wren Association.
Your Moms obituary was so beautifully written. What a wonderful life your Mom led, and she seemed to take such joy in all that was happening around her.
Although I did not have the opportunity to meet your Mom in person, I feel like I know her through the adventures she documented in her 2013 book.
Because of your Moms effort and motivation to document her wartime experiences, rest assured that her memory will live on each time someone opens her book.
Again, our deepest condolences to you and your family.
JoAnn Cunningham

Please accept our sincere sympathy for the loss of this beautiful woman. My husband and I were the benefactors of her warmth and hospitality when we spent our wedding night in her honeymoon cottage with its heart shaped tub. We could not have been treated more royally if we had stayed in Windsor Castle. For over twenty years, when seeing her socially, she would embrace us always refer to us as her newly weds. Margaret made a difference in the lives of everyone she met. She shall be missed. Heaven is a bit more happy now with Margaret; I know the same smile and warm hospitality will greet me when we meet again. Our heartfelt sympathy , David and Brenda Sansom
