Obituary of Ruth Ritchie

The passing of Ruth Isabelle Ritchie of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Windsor Court Retirement Residence. Born on April 4, 1925 in Upper Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Marion (Henderson) Ritchie. Ruth graduated from Bath High School in 1942; Provincial Normal School in 1943, and attended NS College Art and Design from 1950-1955. She taught in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Ruth enjoyed painting and ball room dancing. Ruth is survived by her sister in law, Barbara Ritchie; nieces, Elizabeth Doucette, Heather Walton, Kim Persky nephew, John Baker and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Helen Baker; brothers, Douglas and Cedric Ritchie; and nephew Douglas Baker. A Graveside Service will take place in the Wharton Cemetery, Upper Kent, NB at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Windsor Court for the exceptional care Ruth received.
