Obituary of M. Jeanette Thompson

Life Legacy The passing of M. Jeanette Thompson of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Irwin “Tike” Thompson, occurred on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 14, 1940 in Marysville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Garnet and Nancy (Morton) Peterson. Jeanette was a teacher for over 30 years and was active with the New Brunswick Retired Teachers Association. She was an active member of the Marysville Baptist Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano. Her favourite pastime was playing bridge. Above all, she loved being a Nanny to her grandkids. Jeanette is survived by her children, Michael Thompson (Katie) and Kelli Colter; grandsons, Drew, Liam and Rylan Colter; sisters, Cindy Crowley (Michael) and Debbie Monroe; nieces and nephews Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Marysville Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Jason Hinsdale and Rev. Ralph Irving officiating. Interment will take place in the Marysville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Marysville Baptist Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
