I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy and prayer support to the Leonard family whom I remember so well many years ago on Cunard St in Richibucto. What great neighbors you were! What a blessing you had your dear mum with you for so many years, and have such wonderful memories.

Please accept my sympathies for the loss of your mom. Losing a parent is never easy but you have many wonderful memories that you will always hold in your heart. As the youngest of the Lanctin children, my memories of Richibucto are a bit vague however I do clearly remember the Leonard's (especially the friendship between Theresa and Jocelyn) and that both our families had the measles at the same time!! Please know that you are all in our thoughts at this very difficult time.

My deepest sympathies to my very best friend growing up Theresa and her kind brothers Danny, Ray and Michael ! I feel so fortunate that my husband was able to help us connect after all these years and I was able to spend a little bit of time with your Mom. As you know, she was a wonderful person and I always remembered her as my favourite and kindest teacher ! She had an unremarkable zest for life and her love for her family was so evident when she talked about you! We will be thinking of you tomorrow as it will be a difficult day but I am sure you all have wonderful memories of your Mom to share! Thank-you for letting me get to know her again!
With much love, Jocelyn (Lanctin) and Roland

Dear Danny, Theresa, Ray and Michael. I was so saddened to hear of Aunt Ellen's passing. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the funeral tomorrow. Please know my thoughts will be with you She was a wonderful mother, sister-in-law, and aunt. When I think of her, I think of her lovely smile. Her eyes danced when she smiled. I remember big family dinners at Mamma Leonard's and visiting with you in Richibuctou and later in Fredericton. She and Mum were great friends. They supported and encouraged one another through many tribulations and celebrated their successes both big and small. . I know you shall all miss her greatly. I hope that the many fond memories will help ease your grief. May you continue to love and support one another in the years to come. God Bless.

Dear Danny, your sister and brothers:
Danny, you may not remember me but I believe we took some education classes together at UNB many years ago. Although I don't know most of you, your names sound familiar as I often heard your mother speak of each of you. I just wanted to express my sympathy to all of you in the loss of your mother.
I got to know your mom through my work at the DECH and also from being a former hospital auxiliary member. I enjoyed her so much, a wonderful lady and I am blessed to have known her. I'll always remember all the fun that I, your mom and Helen MacTavish and Helen Milburn when we travelled together to attend a national auxiliary convention in Vancouver/Victoria. I knew that your mom had moved out west a number of years ago and I at times would ask friend Karen MacDonald if she had any news to share about Ellen.
My wife Colleen, who grew up in Devon remembers your family and sends her sympathy on your loss as well.

The Leonards......i was so saddened to read about the passing of your mom. But, at the same time I was so pleased to read about her life and achievements and family. Theresa - I think you may have babysat for me as a child many many years ago. My mom was Shirley Mazerolle and had Shirleys Ladies Wear for years in Richibucto. Noreen has been a lifelong friend of my moms and family. She still can count on Noreen .....
Your mom was loved by many people. My condolences are extended to all the Leonard's and their extended families.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Leonard and my time in her class. I had her in grade 2 and 3...she was a lovely person and I found myself singing " Do you ears hang low..." today for the first time in many, many years. Love and prayers to her family.

So sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. Ellen was a cousin whom I only met once but it was quite memorable; about 10 years ago I was researching family history and stopped at St Anthony's Church to get directions to the cemetery, a kind gentleman from the Church showed me the way and as he knew the family gave me some history. As he spoke Ellen just walked by at the grave site and we were introduced ! Ellen was very gracious and welcomingly towards me.
