Obituary of Edward Flinn

The passing of Edward “Eddie” Coleman Flinn of Windsor Court, formerly of McLeod Hill, NB, husband of the late Margaret (Currie) Flinn occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the age of 94. Born on November 18, 1924 in Maple Grove, NB, he was the son of the late Harry and Georgina (Smith) Flinn. He was a Veteran of WWII. Eddie was a mason by trade; he owned and operated Edward Flinn Masonry. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Fredericton, NB and the Fredericton Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 for 73 years. Eddie is survived by his children, Cheryl Robertson (Keith) of Fredericton, NB, Kevin Flinn of Calgary, AB and Denise Levesque (Michel) of Bedford, NS; grandchildren, Margaret Robertson (Chris Roussell) of Fredericton, NB, Kathryn Hepditch (Josh) of Moncton, NB, Danielle Levesque (Chris Baxter) of Toronto, ON and Christopher Levesque of Bedford, NS; great grandchildren, Theo and Angus Hepditch and Paige Roussell; dear family friend, Juthathip Kruanopphakhun; sister, Glenna Jones of Lake George, NB; brothers, Glenwood Flinn (Annie) of Fredericton, NB and Stanley Flinn of Kingston, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Eddie was predeceased by his sisters, Marie Wagg, Greta Bartlett and brothers, Lawrence, James and LeRoy Flinn. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from12-2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Windsor Court, the many years of excellent care by Dr Kelsey Cameron and Dr Alex Frank of Gibson Health Clinic, the nurses and doctors of 3SW and Marc Jesmer of Lean on Us.
