Obituary of Thomas Walton

The passing of Thomas “Tom” Charles Walton of Fredericton, NB, husband of Pauline Gallant occurred on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Fredericton Hospice House. Born on March 25, 1941 in Pleasant Valley, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and Marion (Nicholson) Walton. He worked for the Department of Motor Vehicle for forty years. Tom enjoyed hockey, golfing, fishing, hunting, and especially enjoyed spending winters in Florida. In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his daughter, Leslie Hannan (Neil) of New Maryland, NB; son, Shawn Walton (Kelly) of Fredericton, NB; step daughters, Cindy Knight (Dwayne Dunn) of Fort McMurray, AB and Sherry Ferguson (Tim) of Lincoln, NB; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Anne Jacob (Tom) of Fredericton, NB, Nettie Merril of Fredericton, NB and Tina McDonald of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister and brother. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 2-4 pm. The Interment will take place in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Fredericton Hospice or the charity of the donor’s choice.
