Obituary of Carl Bruce
Carl Harold Bruce of Taxis River/Burton, NB passed away very peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018 and went to meet his Saviour and loved ones on this day. Born on August 30, 1938 in Hayesville, NB he was a son of the late Harold and Edith (Price) Bruce. Carl loved to hunt, fish, read, search out family history and listen to country music. Through out his life, he worked in the woods, served as a Game Warden and was employed with Service Master. He was affiliated with Ridgeway Baptist Church, Parker Ridge, NB.
Carl is survived by his wife, Ruth Ingraham; children, Rick Bruce (Mabel), Deano Bruce (Crystal), Troy Bruce (Sherry), Carla Smith (Rodney) and Brandy Bruce (Derrick Estey); chosen son, Trevor Munn (Genny Doherty); stepchildren, Cathy MacDonald(Calvin), Brenda Ingraham (Bruce Tyreman) and Kelly Ogden (Dan); brother, Earl Bruce (Etta); grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Betty Spencer, Sandra Day and Elizabeth Munn; brother-in-law, Bobby Day (Peggy); plus nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind, two special companions, Jack and Whitey.
Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Bruce; sisters, Flossie Lovelace, June Bruce, Kay Munn, Glenna Bruce, Elsie Munn and Edith Symonds; brothers, Russell Wheeler, James Munn, Lawrence Bruce, Blake Bruce, Pearly Munn, Lloyd Bruce and Darrel Bruce; brothers-in-law, Raymond and Lennie Day.
Visitation will take place from Ridgeway Baptist Church, Parker Ridge, NB, on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 11-1 pm; followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in remembrance of Carl may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church or charity of the donor’s choice.
