Life Legacy The family of Douglas Joseph Kelly wish to announce his sudden passing at home, on November 18, 2018 at the age of 86. Doug was born in Saint John, NB and was the son of the late Bill & Evelyn (Murphy) Kelly. Doug is survived by his wife of 47 years, Audrey (Graham), four daughters; Paige (Brian Thompson), Patricia, Shawn (Danny Brun) and Carla (Craig Costain); five grandchildren; Kayla Kelly, Sean and Daniel D’Amato, and Jordan and Sydney Perkins; four siblings; Sister Mona Kelly of Toronto, Bud (Betty) of Ottawa, Evelyn O’Neill of Cornwall, and Jim (Gloria) of Moncton, along with a special sister in law, Shirley Bird and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ardith (MacFarlane). Doug loved family gatherings and there were many. He also loved to fish and hunt and spend time at his camp on the Magaguadavic River with his brothers, nephews and good friend, Bill Bagley. Doug graduated from Saint John Vocational School and was a machinist by trade. He taught industrial education in Campbellton for nine years before moving to Fredericton where he was the Supervisor of Industrial Education for the province of New Brunswick. He later became Vice Principal of Trades at NBCC Saint John, and finished his career as the Program Coordinator for the Community Colleges of New Brunswick. Doug retired in 1991 and formed a small company doing renovations. He could fix almost anything! As per his request, there will be no visitation or service.
